I grew up in Bay City, MI and am a graduate of Bay City Central High. In my high school years I suffered from intense headaches and like many others, I sought medical help. I was examined and evaluated by numerous medical doctors and was eventually told that “it was all in my head”. I was attending Northwestern Michigan College to pursue a private pilot’s license when the headaches became more intense and at a friend’s suggestion, I visited a chiropractor. It changed my life! Not only did my headaches disappear, I changed my career choice as a result of chiropractic care.
I enjoyed life again, headache free and pursued my love for flying, ballroom dancing, plus outdoor activities including skiing, biking, sailing, and travel.
I graduated from Northwestern and enrolled in Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, where I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. I also was the recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award, an honor presented to one student of each graduating class. This award showed my time and dedication to the care of my patients at the clinic. I have been in a thriving practice for 35 years in Oxford, MI
In November 2017, I experienced a personal tragedy when an immediate family member passed away suddenly. This tragedy caused me to start researching what could have been done to help by way of chiropractic to prevent it. I discovered Orthospinology/Upper Cervical Care through seminars and research. I then spent a year training in this technique and now I am specializing in Orthospinology/Upper Cervical Care.
I am passionate about serving my patients with quality chiropractic care by using Orthospinology to help those that need specific upper cervical care, which then affects the neck to low back issues. It gives me great satisfaction to help those that haven’t had any hope for the improvement of their present condition. My patients receiving this care have much less pain, improved health and a healthier lifestyle.
